On Thursday 26th November 2009 the DEBI 2009 Environmental Awards Ceremony took place. Held at the Met Office, Exeter and presented by Paul Gompertz of Devon Wildlife Trust a super evening was had by all who attended, with lots of networking over a glass of wine and a bite to eat afterwards.

Andy Vickery, Chairman of DEBI said "In what are still very challenging and difficult times for many of Devon’s businesses, with increased unemployment and the recession affecting many organisations it can be difficult for businesses to keep the environment to the forefront of their businesses agendas, however hearing the stories of those businesses through to this evening’s awards ceremony shows just how important it is. Competition this year was very strong and I would like to pass my congratulations onto all those who entered.”
