DEBI 2011 Environmental Awards
On Thursday 24th November 2011 this year’s DEBI Environmental Awards Ceremony took place at the Met Office. The awards were presented by Dick Strawbridge, television presenter and eco-engineer. Despite ongoing turbulent times, Devon businesses continue to demonstrate innovative and pioneering environmental best practice reflected in this year’s winners and finalists.
Andy Vickery, Chairman of DEBI said “This year’s awards clearly demonstrate that in tough economic conditions focus on environmental best practice can lead to cost effectiveness. The judging panel for the DEBI awards this year was particularly impressed by the level of innovation demonstrated. This year’s winners are investing and reaping the benefits of environmentally friendly energy as well as creating pioneering technology to respond to a market requirement to reduce costs. We are delighted that DEBI can recognise these efforts at our annual awards event.”
