PLASTIC SURGEON, BOVEY TRACY

From a modest head quarters in Bovey Tracey this firm operates nationwide controlling repair teams from Perth to Penzance.
The firm's co founder, Managing Director, Rob Mouser, impressed the judges by his clear commitment to minimising waste and his wider ethos of good environmental management. The building industry is responsible for over 40% of waste generated - the service offered by Plastic Surgeon, to effectively repair surfaces, negates the need, and therefore has a real potential to lower waste arising nationally.
Plastic Surgeon offer solutions to effect repairs on a diverse range of damaged surfaces varying from kitchen work tops to stone cladding. The bulk of the firm's work is in partnership with the larger construction firms and their clients at the "snagging" stage of a project. An exciting new area is opening up at present with the insurance industry.
The judges were given an impressive demonstration showing the speed and effectiveness of the repair process. This process is backed up by careful, comprehensive data collection for the client and the data can then be used by the client to put measures in place to reduce the incidence / reasons for damage and further reduce waste.
