Met Office, Exeter 31 May 2007
The Met Office relocated to its purpose built headquarters in Exeter in 2003. The building with its distinctive canopied entrance, designed by Broadway Malyan, has quickly become a landmark in the area and has won several awards for design.
At its heart, the building boasts an internal ‘street’ or atrium designed to provide informal meeting spaces for staff and customers alike. The tour gave an insight into the buildings construction and many energy saving features.
